Successful come back to Berliner Philharmonie

The World Orchestra has just finished  its Winter Tour 06/07 with a great success. It has visited Holland, Spain and Germany with a repertoire that has included Stravinsky’s Sacre du Printemps, and Sibelius’ Violin Concerto. In this ocasion its 107 musicians from 40 countries have been joined by soloist Alina Pogostkina, winner of the International Sibelius Violin Competition and soloist Yayoi Toda.

During this successful tour The World Orchestra and principal Conductor Josep Vicent performed in Palau de la Música of Valencia, opened La Nucia Concert-Hall (Spain), played again in The Kurhaus and De Lawei (Holland),  and had a huge success in its come back to Berlin, its old headquarters.

The German audience welcomed the orchestra  warmly. Apart from playing in Essen Philharmonie The World Orchestra performed at the prestigious Berliner Philharmonie for an enthusiastic audience of 1800. It was such a great success that the orchestra performed two more pieces that were not in the programme.
