Success of WOJM ’s Dance for Peace winter tour
The World Orchestra visited The Kurhaus in The Hague and
the Konzerthaus in Wien

The World Orchestra started its winter tour in the Auditorio Príncipe Felipe in Oviedo, Spain and then travelled to Netherlands and Austria. Last concert was in the University Concert Hall of Alicante, Spain.

WOJM visited Drachten, the Kurhaus in The Hague and the Konzerthaus in Wien. In the Kurhaus, the historic place were WOJM was born, the orchestra played for a numerous audience including twenty five embassadors from all over the world. It was such a success that the Kurhaus reinvited the orchestra for next Winter.WOJM was also warmly welcomed In Wien where the tickets  sold out two months before the WOJM concert.

WOJM repertoire included the world premiére of Pax Haganum, a piece specially written for this Dance for Peace winter tour by the Catalan composer Joan Albert Amargós. The program also included pieces by Tchaikovsky, Markevitch, Bartók, Ginastera and Turina and the orchestra also had the participation of the soloists Gwyneth Wentink (harp)  and Mihaela Ursuleasa (piano).
WOJM went back to Spain and played the last concert of this tour

Rehearsal session
It started on 26th December in Alicante, Spain. Before general rehearsals with Maestro Josep Vicent, the ninety musicians from thirty nine countries had sectional rehearsals with specialist coaches: Yuri Nasushkin and Alejandro Garrido for strings, Júlia Gàllego and Vicent Alberola for wood-wind, Jörgen Van Rijen for brass and  Javier Eguillor in charge of percussion.
